Witch Sight is a dark urban fantasy series drawing together the myths and supernatural inheritances of the Borderlands of the Celtic nations,.

Witch Sight is set in contemporary Dublin and tells a dark story of the arcane practices which is still alive in this modern European capital city.

For all of the changes to the city, it is a place where the passing of time does not change human nature, and the evil that men do.

Now, as for millennia, some have no restitution for wrongs, except to enter into blood pacts with The Shannow to avenge the deaths of their loved ones.

The Shannow's vengeance is usually quick and discrete but today the mounting death count brings the attention of the Police and the Press like never before. An unlikely team of rogue police detective Frank Marsh and investigative journalist Robbie Feeney bring their knowledge of Dublin's dark side and its mythology together to try to solve the mystery of what become known as The Dublin Witch Murders.

Now The Shannow is in danger of being brought out of the shadows of Dublin, exposing the world of folk magic still active in this modern metropolis., only a few years after the repeal of the Witchcraft Act.

The story continues with the death of the current druidess, a power struggle develops for control of the dark side of Dublin. This conflict includes two sides of an ancient Irish clan who wish to take over Dublin's life and afterlife,. This conflict won't be resolved until The Shannow is brought back by the next generation of druidesses who are his conduit to our modern world.

Synopsis

Witch Sight: Modern City – Ancient Vengeance

Since before history, before Mankind ruled the world, older ancient gods roamed the earth.

On the east coast of Ireland a warrior creature, The Shannow, ruled supreme and was worshipped as a god. But with the coming of the Celtic Saints The Shannow was driven underground to The Otherworld, the realm beneath our own.

There The Shannow resided with all else which is no longer welcome in our world – the older races, The Dead and the other Old Gods.

Since that time, those with the Witch Sight, the ability to see the beings of the Otherworld, have learned how to communicate with The Shannow.

In Ireland amongst those with the witch sight are a family of women, known as The Morrigan, and over time The Morgains. Over centuries they have called on The Shannow to avenge the deaths of innocents in the cruel world above.

Today in Dublin, Sarah Morgain, the last of her family, reads the Tarot to tourists.

When her childhood friend Mary's son is murdered by a gang of drug dealers, Sarah Morgain raises The Shannow to avenge his death.

Dublin has a power vacuum after the death of Sarah Morgqine. Her mother, the Matriarch Miss Morgaine seeks her granddaughter who she has never met to take on the role of being the link between this world and The Shannow.

But there are other forces at work in Dublin; two parts of an ancient Irish clan who wish to take the place of the Morgaines in Dublin Life and Dublin Afterlife.

This clan have their own creature from The Otherworld which they wish to bring back to our world.

So The Shannow faces its old adversary, The Abertach, asThe Morgaines and two factions of an old Irish family of cailleach battle for supremacy as the Queens of Ireland,

Caught between these factions are retired police detective Frank Marsh and retired journalist Robbie Feeney who get ever more deeply embroiled in The Dublin Witch Murders.
